History
The Acta Kierkegaardiana project was started by Roman Králik, one of the founders of the Kierkegaard Society of Slovakia, in 2007. Acta Kierkegaardiana was initiated with the help of Peter ajda and Ján Ligu, and continues with the collaboration of Abrahim Khan at the University of Toronto. The idea of producing a ten-volume series of Acta Kierkegaardiana was inspired by the Bibliotheca Kierkegaardiana project, edited by Niels Thulstrup and Marie Mikulová Thulstrup, whose sixteen volume commentary on themes in Kierkegaard’s work appeared in Copenhagen between 1978 and 1988. Since its inception Acta Kierkegaardiana has become an international collaboration, with a professional editorial and advisory board.
