Instructions for Contributors

Acta Kierkegaardiana publishes refereed essays (approximately 6500 words or fewer) reflecting research and scholarship in Kierkegaard Studies. The count excludes endnotes, bibliography, 150 words abstract, and five keywords that are to be provided with submission of manuscript for consideration. Author’s identification is limited to name, institutional status or position, institution, and country followed by e-mail. These must be included with manuscript.

The author of an essay warrants that he/she is the sole proprietor of the work, meaning also that it does not infringe any copyright agreements; further, that it contains no libelous materials, nor has it or part of it been published before. It warrants further that there is no simultaneous submission to another publication while under consideration by Acta. Still further, the author indemnifies the editors and publishers of Acta from any loss, claim, or recover, including legal expenses connected with any breach of the warranty when the essay.

Two years after publication of the essay, the author is free to excerpt, reprint, or reproduce the work providing it makes printed acknowledgment of the original (in Acta) . The author retains ownership of the copyright of the essay, but grants to the Editors and Publisher of Acta exclusive rights to publish in all languages, in different publication formats, and all countries. The author (or contributors) signs with Acta a publication contract that incorporates and expands on what has been mentioned.
